Our national responsibility
The Somaliland National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) is responsible for the development, review, improvement, and coordination of national curricula and related teaching and learning materials in Somaliland. The Centre works to ensure that education remains relevant to the country’s values, culture, development priorities, and the changing knowledge and skills required by learners.
Working under the education authorities, the Centre brings together curriculum specialists, subject experts, teachers, education professionals, and other stakeholders to develop quality curricula, syllabi, textbooks, teacher guides, and supplementary learning resources. Somaliland education policy assigns curriculum structures responsibility for curriculum development, implementation oversight, textbook preparation, and learning materials.
